This is the first rendering/sketch of the 2D-Remote-Control Camera-Support for the MS0x00. It can be made with some printed parts, some lasercutted parts  and hand-tools.

Currently it is fitted for  a  HD GoPro, but that is changeable

Preparation almost done...

We're heading somewhere and the target is already in reach. I've prepared the ship's software and dependencies just a few minutes ago. This involved updating the already installed armhf Debian port (we're deliberately using Sid, btw).

Unfortunately that didn't work out trivially, but luckily only involved changing apt's sources.conf to point to the official debian repositories, since armhf is now (almost) released. Big thanks to the armhf team! Yay! o/

Next up:

If you're interested in the future plans for the internal messaging system and maybe want to contribute, have a look at Ticket #111.

Current Development: ANRV Joystick Remote Control

Wikimedia Commons image of a Joystick (From Gnomes Nuvola Theme) To test the whole system, we need a reliable interface which must be configurable, knows how to display facts and understands a nice input method. Premier choice: a joystick. In our case a 12 button, 4 axis model.

Joystick input already works, first simple display controls are available. Simple PyGame objects and display-only components will be created with Kamaelia as backend.

I'll publish some documentation about the messaging, component and server/client architecture along the development in the next few days.

So stay tuned, watch our feeds and join us in IRC.
